The following is a description of the TheFunZone's weekly cycle:
a. Complete your Pick Sheet and submit it before the first game each week.
See a sample Pick Sheet here.
b. After the start of the first game all the members picks will be displayed.
c. On Monday morning preliminary results based on all the weekend games will
be displayed.
d. After the Monday night game I will process all the Picks and
determine the winners.
e. On Tuesday morning the Weekly Results will be posted as well as the YTD
standings.
f. The cycle repeats itself for weeks 2-17.
Game Definitions:
1. REGULAR GAME:
a. As with any regular football game, you are required to pick a
winner for each game.
I no longer Randomize players who forget to turn in their picks. If you are
the forgetting type, I recommend you randomize picks at the beginning of
the week and if you don't submit picks later you at least have the randomized
picks turned in.
b. You must also assign a CONFIDENCE POINT number from 1 through the NUMBER
OF GAMES PLAYED THAT WEEK (i.e. 12 or 16) for each game. The game that
you have the most Confidence in, you would assign the HIGHEST points, the
game with the LEAST Confidence you would assign LOWEST points. You must
use each number from 1 through the NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED THAT WEEK only
once.
c. The CONFIDENCE POINTS assigned to all the games you predicted correctly
are totaled. A missed game results in zero points. Tie game points will
be counted as a Win and you will receive the points you applied to that game.
d. The 1st place winner of the REGULAR GAME is the
player with the highest CONFIDENCE POINT total.
Tie breakers:
Determines winner - Total Confidence Points for the Week
1st tie breaker - Total Games Right
2nd tie breaker - Lowest Monday point difference
3rd tie breaker - Alphabetical Order of the first letter of your Game Name
2. SEASON GAME:
a. Your participation is a automatic.
b. The 1st place winner of the SEASON GAME is the
player with the highest YTD CONFIDENCE POINT total after Week 17.
Tie breakers:
1st tie breaker - Total Games Right YTD
2nd tie breaker - Lowest YTD Monday point difference (Avg)
3. SURVIVOR POOL:
a. Depending on the number of people in TheFunZone, we may conduct
Survivor Pools, your participation would be automatic.
If a Survivor Pool I is active then 1 loss knocks you out.
If a Survivor Pool II is active then 2 losses knock you out.
b. The Weekly picksheet (sample here) will have a drop down menu for Survivor Pool picks. This drop down menu will be titled "Survivor Pick". The drop down menu will display the words "I am not in the Survivor Pool". Click the drop down arrow to the right to choose your team. You will choose a DIFFERENT TEAM each week. If your team wins, you stay in the Survivor Pool. If your team ties or loses, you are out of the Survivor Pool. If you pick the same team twice, you are out of the Survivor Pool. You can see your previous Survivor Picks by clicking on the "Show Survivor Picks" icon on the picksheet or the "Survivor" skull icon on TheFunZone home page. c. The last player in the Survivor Pool is the winner. If there are multiple people that go out of the Survivor Pool leaving no clear winner or multiple people are still in the Survivor Pool after Week 17 the last week), then it will come down to a tiebreaker. The tie breakers are:
1st tie breaker - Total Confidence Points YTD
2nd tie breaker - Total Games Right YTD
3rd tie breaker - Total Confidence Points for the Week
For example, there are 4 people left in the Survivor Pool in week 9. All 4
lose in week 10, leaving nobody left as a clear winner. In this instance,
the tie breakers above will come into play and the person with the highest
Confidence points YTD will be the wiiner. Still tied? The person with
the most Games Right YTD will be the winner. Still tied? The person
with the highest Confidence points in week 10 will be the winner. Still Tied?
The prize will be split between the people who are tied.
4. MARGIN POOL:
a. Depending on the number of people in TheFunZone Football Club, we may
conduct a Margin Pool. If a Margin Pool is active your participation
is automatic.
b. The Weekly picksheet (sample here) will have a drop down menu for Margin Pool picks. This drop down menu will be titled "Margin Pool Pick". The drop down menu will display the words "I am not in the Margin Pool". Click the dropdown arrow to the right to choose your team. You do this every week because you are never out of the Margin Pool. If you forget to pick your Margin Team you will receive losing Margin of -10 loss margin for that week. DO NOT FORGET TO PICK YOUR MARGIN TEAM. You must choose a DIFFERENT TEAM each week. You get the points of the winning margin of the team you picked. If your team wins by 25 points, you get 25 points. If your team loses by more 10 points or more, you get -10 points. Losing Margin is maxed at -10 to make the Margin Pool more competitive. Everyone is in the Margin Pool until the end of the year. If you pick the same team twice or you forget to turn in your picks, you will get a -10 loss margin of that week. You can see your previous Margin Picks by clicking on the "Show Margin Pool Picks" icon on the picksheet or the "Margin Pool" icon on the home page.
c. The player with the most points in the Margin Pool at the end of the season
is the winner. If there is a tie, the following tiebreakers will come into
play:
1st tie breaker - Total Wins YTD
2nd tie breaker - Total Confidence Points YTD
3rd tie breaker - Total Confidence Points Current Week
TheFunZone is conducted 100% on the Internet All FunZone activities must be performed from the internet address: www.thefunzone.com
INTERNET PICKSHEET INFORMATION:
You must turn in your picks by using the internet picksheet. Enter you GAME NAME,
PASSWORD, and EMAIL ADDRESS.

You can choose RANDOM on the Internet pick sheet to have your picks generated randomly. If you don't turn in your picks on time, I WILL NO LONGER RANDOMIZE YOUR PICKS FOR YOU. Be advised, the RANDOM option does not include the Monday Night tie breaker points or Survivor or Margin picks, you still have to provide those.
You have until the start of the first game to get your picks in.
After that time, the picksheet will no longer be available.
You can change your picks by re-submitting them. the software will always use the last
picks
you turned in. If there is a THURSDAY or SATURDAY game you must make ALL your
picks
before those games (all games must be picked prior to the start of the first
game of the current week).

W = Wins, L = Losses, T = Ties, Pts = Confidence Points won, T/B = number of points difference from Monday Night Game total points Initially this will be your tiebreaker number i.e. 52, after the game is played it will be the number of points you were different from the tiebreaker i.e. 3 (if the total points were 55). The person with the lowest difference would be the Monday Night winner (in the case of our sample the Monday Night winner would be Priapus with a difference of 0). The Result Column indicates the Weekly Regular Game winner.
